Editorial on Innovation and a great, ‘Greater’ Chamber on the rise to help pressed business owners
“There is no Democratic or Republican way of cleaning the streets…”- Mayor Fiorello La Guardia (NY)
This is a tough city to be liberal, innovative, and entrepreneurial: Our mayor is too busy looking in the mirror, quaffing his hair and planning for the governorship. Every department that makes decisions about business is led by well-meaning individuals powerless over bureaucracies whose employees make capricious, customized decisions that literally, wreck many small businesses chances of succeeding.
Los Angeles is sending a chilling message to young, brilliant, bright innovators: find another place to do business.
These petty czars, zealously guarding their turf and egos strut and stride whilst our cities’ tax base is being degraded and parking fees go through the roof. They are directly responsible for businesses fleeing and our tax base under threat.
There is a great, ‘Greater’ Chamber that is listening and acting on behalf of enlightened innovators and pressed small and medium sized businesses. For the sake of politics and comity, the editor of The South Park L.A Blog will not name this force for good and change-it might thwart their ability to do what they are so successfully doing: Acting as advocates for hard-pressed business owners of all ethnicity’s and types.
What we will do is take it upon ourselves, through our connections, contacts, and businesses, to assist this chamber every which way we can: We owe it to them-there are leading lights in a dimming city-which this editor and his allies refuses to give up on.

The South Park Development Group-FLV LLC will be touring the co-founder and chairman of a front-line electric-vehicle, zero-emission company this Saturday through South Park L.A
The South Park Development Group-FLV LLC is pleased to annouce that the team will be taking the founder and c0-chairman of an imminent zero-emission electric vehicle company based in California on a tour of South Park Los Angeles, moving closer toward their goal of opening the South Park Sustainability Shop, featuring cycles (www.wabicycles.com), zero-emissions scooters, zero-emission/hybrid motorcycles, and other zero-carbon footprint modes of transport for the residents of Down Town Los Angeles.
This shop will be as virtual (ecommerce driven) as it is a bricks and mortar store and it’s core mission is to get residents of South Park Los Angeles and Down Town Los Angeles out of their cars and into other, better, cleaner modes of transport that let them see the city in a different way-in all it’s vibrancy, hum and glow.
On Monday, The South Park Development Group-FLV LLC will let you know the outcome of the tour and it’s (very positive) implications for South Park L.A and for all Los Angeles. The South Park Development Group-FLV LLC will be asking key stake holders for their support as we move this project forward and we will keep you posted on their reactions and action to help all the residents of our neighborhood and our city enjoy a better quality of life.
Keep posted and for more info feel free to email southparkla.com at info@southparkrevive.com
hygee bakery-part 2 of 5
Rasmus Lee and his partners are so close to opening a true, Danish bakery-Cafe serving fresh, just out of the oven, light, flaky, pastry and breakfast fare for the residents of South Park Los Angeles and the greater Downtown Los Angeles community, providing a needed service for South Park-in essence an alternative to Starbucks and providing 25-35 new full time and part time jobs to the under-employed.
He and his partners have brought on board a dynamic, professional expert from Denmark to assure quality and standards.
You can just imagine the aroma of fresh baked goods wafting from the greasless-kitchen, the scene of a busy, kitchen which can be viewed from the large windows. Hope Street, South Park Los Angeles, all the residents, and all the stake holders will benefit from Hygee Bakery: In a recession and Rasmus took financial and professional risks to open and he has had to go through significant difficulties to realize his goal.
This blog, and this author truly salute the perserverance of Rasmus and Co.,
Bottom-Line: If you knew the full-story, the drama behind the scenes of what it will take to finally open, you would agree, that at the end of the day, Rasmus, Premiere Real Estate (www.premiererealestatebroker.com), and all his partners have undergone a trial by fire in order to provide our South Park L.A residents an added value: A full-service, specialized, gourmet Danish bakery.
My team at The South Park Development Group (www.flvllc.com) is their neighbor and we can’t wait to walk two doors down for a light breakfast and some coffee. To all South Park residents- let’s support local innovation, let’s all become more than customers of Hygee Bakery and Rasmus’ efforts-let’s become members, regulars, and help turn the tide.
Soon to come: Part Three, Opening Day-which we will upload onto this site via live video-cast and flash around the world on You Tube and via a twitter-campaign.
